More variants will be introduced at a later date

The development team at Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision are announcing that they are launching the new single wield version of the SAC3 submachine gun and the new Royalty Weapon versions for other weapons in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on May 19.

Initially, both of them will only be available on the Xbox One home console from Microsoft, and presumably, those who play on the PC and the PlayStation 4 will have to wait for about one month to receive them, the normal period included in the DLC exclusivity deal.

The new version of the SAC3 is designed to offer a high rate of fire while also adding accuracy, and it will be offered to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare players via both classic and advanced Supply Drops.

On May 19, the shooter will also get the new Royalty Weapon elite category, which will be easy to spot thanks to its purple and gun metal camouflage, designed to mesh well with the special Grand Master Prestige armor.

Ten weapons will be initially delivered, with more set to follow once the community has offered its feedback on them.

Sledgehammer Games states they "have similar stats to some of the elite versions of weapons you already love.  Great stats and a sick royalty camo – these are some of the hottest weapons you can get in Advanced Warfare."

Feedback on both additions to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is encouraged.

Activision and Sledgehammer Games are set to offer two other DLC packs

The most dedicated of multiplayer fans will be satisfied with the coming content, but they will also be eager to know more about the other two downloadable content packs that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is supposed to get in 2015.

Sledgehammer Games has so far stuck to the classic formula associated with the series, packing each of them with four new maps, a new episode linked to the Exo Zombies mode, and some weapons.

It will be interesting to see whether any of the coming DLC introduces something more exciting, like an entirely new mode.

Developer Treyarch and publisher Activision are aiming to launch a new title in the Call of Duty series, called Black Ops 3, on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 on November 6 of this year.
