14 DAY TRIAL // Anthony Alvarez from California shot his two daughters and then himself on Memorial Day, as his 3 grandchildren were in the house. It was one of the grandkids who called the police when the shots were fired, as the video above can confirm.
A former Vietnam war veteran, Alvarez was living in the same house as his daughters, one of whom he killed on the spot.
The other is in critical condition in the hospital, and has already had surgery for the wounds received.
Alvarez shot himself afterwards.
One of the minors heard the gunshots and called the police. The children were not harmed, and are now with their father, who was at work when this happened.
For the time being, police have no idea what started the altercation that led to such a violent outcome. An investigation is underway.
