14 DAY TRIAL // They’ve only been dating since July this year, but both are convinced that their romance is the epitome of true love and that the only logical step in their relationship is to get married. Because of this, cage fighter Alex Reid has already boarded a plane to Australia, where he’s to propose to Katie Price, formerly known as glamour model Jordan, News of the World informs based on Reid’s own words.
Price, as many of you might remember, has just recently divorced singer Peter Andre. A couple of months after they announced separation, she met Reid and almost immediately moved on with her personal life, saying that her romance with Andre had already been dead for years either way. Since then, Price and Reid have been almost inseparable, constantly making public appearances together, much to the delight of the paparazzi back home in the UK.
Now, the model is in the Australian jungle shooting for the latest season of “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me out of Here” and Reid, perhaps realizing that distance has made his heart “grow fonder,” as the saying goes, decided to fly over there to propose to her. Moreover, as he tells the British tab, he’s certain she won’t turn him down. Before he left, though, he started to look for the perfect engagement ring, for which he was willing to pay up to £20,000, he revealed.
“I’m definitely asking her to marry me and I’m convinced she’s going to say YES. I might pop the question on TV. One idea is I make the proposal in front of cameras on the show. But whatever happens I know this is right. I’ve never felt this way before. I’m convinced Katie’s going to feel the same way. I know what we’re like when we’re together. When I’m with Katie it’s full-on 24/7,” Reid told News of the World.
“She ended the Pete chapter of her life in that jungle. Now it’s time for her to start a new fairy tale. But this time I think it it’ll go the distance,” the cage fighter further said. As for the ring, “It WILL be a ring fit for the princess she is. One she can love and cherish. Forever. This love is worth fighting for. I’d do anything to make it happen. Everything that’s happening right now is what I’ve always wanted. I’ve actually envisaged this for many years,” Reid explained.
