Leading international provider of fiber-based communications services Level 3 Communications, Inc. announced recently that it expanded its partnership with Clearwire Communications, LLC, and that it would deliver support for the CLEAR 4G WiMAX services currently being deployed around the United States. According to the company, it will offer network transport services to Clearwire as it rolls-out the WiMAX network is some of the major markets around the country.

“With a nationwide network footprint, Level 3 offers the network reach and scale to meet our business needs as we rollout next generation broadband services,” said John Saw, chief technology officer for Clearwire. “As demand for the mobile Internet increases, we believe Level 3 offers the right combination of network infrastructure and service quality.”
