Earlier today we reported on EVGA and how it's preparing to launch the GeForce GTX 980 Classified K|NGP|N graphics card. Well, now we have more information on it, including the physical specs and clocks.

Keep in mind that these are just the preliminary details. EVGA could tweak the settings further between now and whenever sales are set to start.

The GM204 GPU, with 2048 CUDA Cores, 128 TMUs and 64 ROPs, has a clock of 1,317 MHz, with an overclock speed of 2,166 MHz.

Going further and manually overclocking the card, though still keeping the air cooler, allowed the card to reach 4,451 MHz. A massive speed, and the reason behind the 569.7 GB/s bandwidth and the 20,816 points scored in 3DMark Firestrike (Performance Mode).

And yes, the GTX 980 was left with the same 4 GB of GDDR5 VRAM as is normal for these products (the interface is of 256 bits).

By now, it should be clear that the GeForce GTX 980 Classified will be a force to be reckoned with once it finally debuts, probably by the middle of the month (January 2015).

As for the cooler, two PWM fans push air into and over a heatsink chamber made of two aluminum fin blocks (connected by 6-8 heatpipes).
