Chinese company ZTE announced its lineup of smartphones for this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) last week. The Grand S II, Sonata 4G and Iconic Phablet are just some of the devices that ZTE confirmed it would bring to Las Vegas, at CES 2014.

However, little was known about ZTE’s so-called Iconic Phablet, as the handset maker promised it would offer more info on the device later on during the trade fair.

Engagdet reports that the Iconic Phablet has already been showcased at ZTE’s booth and some of its specs have already been listed, though no details on the phone’s price tag and availability are available yet.

Still, ZTE states that the Iconic Phablet will eventually make it to the United States where it will go on sale through one or more CDMA carriers.

Speaking of which, ZTE Iconic Phablet does not feature support for GSM/EDE and HSPA+, instead it comes with LTE, CDMA and EVDO connectivity, which is one of the reasons it won’t be available for a handful of major US-based operators.

Specs-wise, the Iconic Phablet’s hardware configuration is no less impressive than its name. The device sports a 5.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

It comes equipped with a quad-core processor provided by Qualcomm Snapdragon, 1GB of RAM and only 8GB of internal memory. However, storage shouldn’t be an issue, as the smartphone packs microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

On the back, ZTE Iconic Phablet sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper, whereas in the front there’s a secondary 1-megapixel camera for video calls.

Other highlights of the smartphone include: Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity, 3200 mAh Li-Ion battery, GPS with A-GPS support and ZTE’s version of Multi-Window.

When it comes to software, the Iconic Phablet has been confirmed to ship with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box. There’s no telling whether or not ZTE will offer any major updates for this phablet.
