The International Consumer Electronics Show is not all about cameras and lenses when it comes to the digital camera segment, and Tiffen – a leading manufacturer of digital imaging accessories – is there to prove just that.

With 75 years of experience in manufacturing consumer/professional grade photographic filters and lens accessories, Tiffen offers a wide range of award-winning products highly regarded by photographers around the world.

At this year's CES show, the company has revealed its latest ND (neutral density) filter as well as the highly popular Variable ND filter that gives photographers maximum control over the camera's aperture allowing them to take long exposure photos even in the middle of the day.

Labeled Tiffen ND 3.0, the new filter offers an amazing 10-stop exposure absorption allowing photographers to think creatively and use a slower shutter speed or a wider aperture whenever needed.

Thanks to the technology behind this new ND filter, the company assures customers that no color changes occur when the filter is used although the amount of light that passes through the lens is significantly reduced.

Steve Tiffen, president and CEO of Tiffen, said that “When it comes to optical development, Tiffen is at the helm of the industry. The development of the new ND 3.0 filter is part of our planned program of ongoing innovation, which enables us to remain firmly ‘ahead of the curve’ in the field of optical accessories.”

“We work closely with image-makers, listening to their needs and responding with forward-thinking products that help them create the world’s greatest images. At CES, we are showcasing several filter innovations rolling out this year,” he then added.

The Tiffen ND 3.0 comes in 52mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm and 82mm sizes and is now available for purchase through the company's domestic and international dealer network at a price ranging from $37.99 / €28 for the 52mm filter to $135.99 / €100 for the 82mm one.
