Liquid Image is a US-based company, specialized in creating wearable cameras, snow goggles and scuba masks that incorporate small cameras, allowing you to capture the action from a POV perspective.

This year at CES, we have seen many interesting announcements from every important camera and lens manufacturer in the digital camera market, and Liquid Image has also prepared quite a few surprises for its customers.

The company has recently unveiled the new Ego LS wearable multifunctional camera in a press release, with no more than four wireless features incorporated in the device, including 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Low Frequency RF.

The Liquid Image Ego LS comes equipped with an 8MP sensor capable of capturing 1080p Full HD video footage at 30 frames per second (fps) and 720p HD video at 60fps. Moreover, the camera comes with a 135 degrees wide angle lens that allows you to capture all the action from a POV perspective.

What's more interesting about the Ego LS is that this camera is capable of streaming photos and videos on any compatible smartphone or tablet via a 4G LTE network thanks to an optional 4G capable module.

In addition to that, using the Liquid Image app for iOS and Android, the Ego LS allows you to stream live view over Wi-Fi as well as act like a remote viewfinder that enables you to control and activate the camera when needed.

Liquid Image Ego LS is also water resistant and can be fitted with an additional waterproof housing that will allow it to be submerged at a depth of up to a 40m / 130ft depth. Furthermore, the Low Frequency RF allows the camera to stay in standby for over 24 hours without draining the rechargeable Lithium battery which lasts about 6 hours in HD video mode.

The camera is expected to be launched in June with a price tag around $200 / €150 for a bare-bones model while the optional 4G LTE module will cost you another $200 / €150.
