And it doesn't have to be on the other side of the house to do it

When projectors first started out, they needed to be pretty far from the wall or canvas they would project the images on. Now, though, short-throw technology is advanced enough that it's possible to do it from just a few feet away.

The Sony 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector is the latest and best example of that.

Short-throw projector technology was specifically designed for this actually.

The newcomer can play video and show photos in resolution of up to 4096 x 2160 pixels, not just 3840 x 2160 pixels.

Spec-wise, we're looking at a product with a brightness of 2,000 lumens, four HDMI inputs, USB support, Ethernet (connects to 4K content providers such as Sony's own Video Unlimited 4K and Netflix), speaker terminals, and 3D video at Full HD.

Technologies like 4K X-Reality PRO processing, Triluminos, and Auto Color Calibration are supported as well. All for the price of $30,000 - $40,000 / €30,000 - €40,000 (sales will start this summer).
