T-Mobile USA had a discrete presence at the International Consumer Electronics Show until recently. While Verizon Wireless and AT&T have gone forward with several official announcements, T-Mobile USA was still mum on its upcoming new products.

When everyone thought that the carrier does not plan to come up with anything new at CES 2012, aside the Nokia Lumia 710 which was announced last month, T-Mobile made a surprising move and announced the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G.

No details have been previously leaked on the Galaxy S Blaze 4G specs sheet, which makes it even more surprising. The T-Mobile-bounded smartphone is fully compatible with the carrier’s 4G technology capable of reaching 42Mbps download speeds.

Consumers want the accessibility and entertainment capabilities that smartphones offer, and we’re committed to providing a range of 4G device options,” said Andrew Sherrard, senior vice president, marketing, T-Mobile USA.

Aside from the HSPA+42 support, the Galaxy S Blaze 4G is equipped with a powerful 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor and a brilliant Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display.

T-Mobile USA also mentions that the phone runs Google’s Android platform, though there are no details on which version of the operating system. However, there’s a high chance that this one is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

In addition, the smartphone comes pre-loaded with several T-Mobile entertainment apps and services, which provide users with the possibility to watch their favorite movies, TV shows, game, music and other while on the move.

No word on the Galaxy S Blaze 4G release date or pricing options yet, but it shouldn’t take too long before T-Mobile USA releases this one. Customers who want to be notified on the smartphone’s arrival can register on carrier’s site.

The Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G is the latest smartphone that enables consumers to unlock the full potential of T-Mobile’s faster 4G network. With a compelling set of entertainment features, paired with our Unlimited Value and Monthly4G plans, we’re continuing to make it easy and affordable for consumers to experience the benefits of 4G,” concluded Sherrard.
