Remember that Android-running media player built by Shenzhen Geniatech that visited the FCC offices at the end of December?

Back then we presumed that the OEM will make its design available under a variety of brands and modes and it appears that we were right, as Patriot has now launched a remarkably similar device.

Dubbed the PBO Alpine by the outfit, this little device supports a wide selection of video formats, including MPEG-4, H.264 and VC-1, in full 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second.

A fully functional web browser is also provided, complete with pre-loaded iRadio, iTV, YouTube, and Picasa apps, so everything should work out of the box with no extra tinkering required.

Two USB 2.0 ports, an SD card and an HDMI output round up the specs list, but don’t ask when or for how much will this be available as Patriot has omitted to provide us with this info.
