BlueAnt presented at CES its latest Bluetooth headset, the first of this kind to be completely voice-controlled. Named BlueAnt V1, the device measures only 41 x1 7.5 x 11.2 millimeters and comes with features that make it one of the most innovative Bluetooth headsets on the market.

BlueAnt V1 is Bluetooth 2.1 compatible, and thanks to the BlueGenie Voice Interface from Sensory Inc., it eliminates the need to use buttons. V1 has only one button, used to activate it, and it's controlled with voice commands like "accept call", "volume up" or "call home". Furthermore, the device has voice synthesis capabilities and can talk back to the user, giving information about the battery power level or various device settings.

"Improved safety functions and increased user friendliness have been strongly desired by Bluetooth headset customers," said BlueAnt CEO, Taisen Maddern. "With Sensory's BlueGenie Voice Interface, we are bringing them what they have been waiting for with the ability to easily control their headset through voice providing a sleek and simplistic user interface unlike any other on the market."

BlueAnt V1 can offer a talk-time of up to 6 hours and a 200 hours stand-by time. Among its important features we have: Voice Isolation Technology, Multi-point technology, dual microphones, USB charger, as well as multi-function car and desk charger.

"We have used the Blueant Z9 as our foundation for the V1, and then taken our development process one step further," said the CEO of BlueAnt. "The products may look slightly similar but the technology is much more advanced. It is a sophisticated product offering unlike any other headset that is currently on the market. The V1 will lead the way in Voice Controlled Headset technology providing consumers with the kind of functionality that they have been waiting for".

The new BlueAnt V1 super headset will be commercially available starting April 2008 for a retail price of $119.
