Increasing EA runaways

The rumors about former Westwood members in the Electronic Arts team running away are heard more often.

After two of the former team members making C&C a giant in the video gaming world stopped collaborating with Electronic Arts in March (Browder, responsible for Lord of The Ring : Battle for Midlearth left to Blizzard, while Skaggs went on an indefinite leave), it is time for another veteran to say "Farewell, EA !".

Adam Isgreen, former lead designer for C&C Tiberian Sun and its expansion, Firestorm leaves EA, too. If the leaving of the first two was somewhat silent, without comments on the C&C franchise future, Isgreeen announced that his main reason for leaving is that the attempts to start working on a new Red Alert game failed, as EA officials had announced in December.

Isgreen made a comment on a forum dedicated to the C&C community that he was pessimistic about the future of the franchise; for Electronic Arts his leaving is much more difficult, as Isgreen plans to work for Petroglyph.

Petroglyph is the company founded by former Westwood teammates, refusing to be incorporated within Electronic Arts after the company takeover. Nowadays they work on a RTS based on Star Wars.

Electronic Arts made no comments about Isgreen's departure, which fuels all uncertainties related to the future of C&C.

After the animated debates about the leaving of the other two former Westwood members, EA announced ongoing work on a game inspired by Red Alert; given the new abandon it is hard to estimate who will manage the project and how, or even if the project is still actual.

The C&C community can only wait and see the EA plans for the future of this brand.
