The development team at Polar Motion and publisher Slitherine announce that they are delivering a major update for Buzz Aldrin’s Space Program Manager, in order to enhance the player experience and give gamers more options and concepts to work with.

The two companies are adding a new Race to the Moon campaign, which will allow anyone to choose between the Soviet Russian or the United States space programs and try to become the first nation to get a man to the Moon and then safely back on Earth.

The Global Space Agency story is still available in the game and has been enhanced with some new options.

Buzz Aldrin’s Space Program Manager supports more resolutions, rocket and payloads can now be mixed in order to increase the customization level and there’s also support for multiplayer, via a custom play by e-mail solution.

Ignacio Liverotti, the lead designer and programmer at Polar Motion, states, “We have seen a tremendous amount of feedback from the players. All these contributions have been analyzed and taken into consideration to form a brand new list of features we are adding to the pipeline.”

He adds, “This will of course delay the release of the final product, but we are really committed to delivering the players the game they want and know the players will understand and appreciate what we are doing.”

The fans have posted more than 3,000 suggestions on the official site of Buzz Aldrin’s Space Program Manager and the team plans to continue to use them to create future features for the game.

A number of artists are also working on new assets for the title and regular updates are planned to add more gameplay mechanics.

Both Polar Motion and Slitherine also hope that they will soon be able to announce an official launch date for the full version of Buzz Aldrin’s Space Program Manager.
