The man ordered a Radeon R9 290X, but got the “delayed” model instead

You'd think that delaying a product launch means that retailers haven't gotten shipments of the thing yet, but that's not what happened with the Radeon R9 290. Quite the opposite actually.

It's a pretty hilarious turn of events actually. OCUK Forum member primouf ordered a Radeon R9 290X from a French retailer, but got the R9 290 instead.

So, naturally, he took it out of the box and tested the ever living daylights out of it.

It's not the same as a full review, but there were definitely more than the bare minimum of screenshots posted on the forum.

You'll see the cut-down version of Hawaii (Hawaii PRO GPU), featuring 2,560 stream processors.

Don't mind the wrong number in GPU-Z. The application just hasn't been updated to support it.
