In an interview made available online just a few hours ago, Thomas B. Pickens, one of America's top businessmen, explains how, as a result of several drilling sites being shut down, the price for natural gas in this country will reach about $4 within the following 12 months.

When asked whether or not the US transportation sector could soon be considering turning towards liquefied natural gas as an alternative to other fuels, Thomas B. Pickens explained that, although American citizens are not for the time being asking that they be presented with cars running on compressed natural gas, they will most likely do so in the not-too-distant future.

Apparently, this rise in demand for alternative fuels will stem from the fact that gasoline prices are bound to only get higher as time goes by.

Seeing how natural gas vehicles are a worthy and environmentally friendly alternative to cars that run on fossil fuels, having more people become interested in purchasing them could be a very good thing.
