It might not seem like the most wanted job in the world, but driving a bus can certainly prove to be a really entertaining and challenging thing to do. And if you have doubts on this matter, Avanquest Software plans to prove you wrong with the launch of their latest PC game, Bus Simulator 2008.

Released on schedule (really a shocker, keeping in mind that all the games seem to have a rule of thumb that says "never be ready on time"), Bus Simulator 2008 in not only a bus driving game, but a title that will test your capabilities of running a company, too. This means that you'll be mister handyman: you'll have to follow certain travel routes, keep to the timetable and transport as many passengers as possible, all these without doing something most of us like a lot: reckless driving. So it's definitely not a game to try immediately after a GTA IV session!

Avanquest Software brings you 18 routes and 34 missions you'll have to master while driving one of the 8 available buses (the number can be increased if you choose to go online and download a few more) and you'll soon understand that being a successful bus driver and businessman is not as easy as other games make you believe it is. You'll have to maintain your reputation in the neighborhood, keep all your passengers happy and maximize the profits - that's the only way to do it if you want to be able to buy better buses, pay for advertising campaigns and go to auto dealers to fix your vehicles. Listen to me - bus driving ain't an easy job!

Online score tables on the official website will allow everybody to see who are the best bus drivers in the world, while different weather conditions and times of day will make sure you'll never get bored and you'll always encounter a bit more obstacles on your way to greater glory. But nobody said that being a bus driver is easy.
