14 DAY TRIAL // Just a few days ago, an 86-year-old woman had her home broken into while she was at church. The incident occurred in the village of Stoke Prior, West Midlands.
Finding herself alone at home, the woman's 8-year-old border collie, named Kiri, saw fit to take care of business and tried to stop the burglars on her own.
Unfortunately, one of them hit her in the eye and caused her to lose her eyesight. Although veterinarians made sure the wound was properly dealt with, the dog's owner explains that the animal is most likely still in shock.
“It's terrible and I just hope someone can come forward with information to help the police catch the burglar,” the woman told members of the press.
Presently, the community is offering a reward of ₤500 (€627.455 / $811.350) to those who help bring the culprits to justice.
