A 32-year-old man in the US now finds himself in police custody, and it's his passion for taking hot showers in strangers' homes that need be blamed for the fact that he is now in trouble with the law.

According to Metro, this man, identified as Ryan Carpenter, was arrested after breaking into a house in Lexington, Kentucky. Oddly enough, he had no intention to steal anything, and only entered the home because he felt like taking a bath.

The police officers in charge of investigating this case say that 32-year-old Ryan Carpenter entered the house through a window. Once inside, he went straight for the shower and proceeded to wash his body using hot water and locally sourced soap.

He was discovered by the house's owner, who did not hesitate to alert authorities and have them arrest the intruder. Ryan Carpenter was taken to a local police station, and charged with burglary, the same source tells us.

According to his lawyers, the 32-year-old is in poor mental health, and every once in a while gets the urge to sneak into people's homes in order to enjoy a hot shower. If the man is indeed mentally ill, it is possible the police will drop the charges against him.
