The studio has not offered any details about the idea

The development team at Bungie has been busy with the launch of the most recent expansion for Destiny, but it seems that the company also has long-term plans linked to a new trademark called Eververse, which is probably related to its current video game project.

The United States Trademark and Patent Office is not offering any sort of details about the concept that the company is working on, but the registration cover video game software, toys, promotional materials and other elements linked to it.

Bungie has trademarked both the name in its simple form and something called the Eververse Trading Company.

It's unclear when the new names will be used by the studio or if they are linked to its current Destiny work or to something that's farther in the future.

Given that the company has said that it will work with Activision to offer long-term support for the social shooter, the new concept is probably linked to a future expansion.

The trading part of the name suggests that Bungie might be working on a way to allow players to trade items and maybe other elements of the game with each other in a controlled environment.

Fans have been requesting such a feature ever since Destiny was first launched, but the company has said that at the moment such a mechanics is not linked to the core of the title.

The logo used for Eververse also seems linked to the style used for the shooter.

Destiny might get another expansion before the end of the year

A set of rumors are saying that The Taken King is the name that Bungie is using for the next big content drop for the video game, which is expected to arrive before the end of the year on all platforms.

The leaks are suggesting that an entirely new environment will be introduced to the shooter for the first time since it was launched.

Bungie has also been talking about another big end-game raid that should arrive in the coming months, although no info about it has been offered.

Until then, the company seems determined to listen to the community and to deliver more updates that will deal with feedback delivered by the community, with a special focus on both Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders.
