Bungie confirms that it's already reacting to user feedback in regards to Destiny, its recently-released shooter, and that it's doubled the rate at which public events happen inside the game, while working on more enhancements for the multiplayer experience.

Destiny finally appeared last week, after being eagerly awaited by millions of fans from around the world. The online-only shooter delighted plenty, but left a bitter taste in the mouths of quite a few people due to its repetitive story encounters and the tedious cooperative Strikes.

Bungie wants to improve the game

However, Bungie has promised that it is going to support the game well after its launch, and now it's confirmed that some enhancements are already live, while more are on the way.

According to Community Manager David Dague, the studio is already hard at work to improve the game. He confirms that plenty of enhancements have been made to the online shooter, although many were made to its backend systems, with very few having a big impact on regular gameplay.

One key change is the doubling of the rate at which public events, such as limited time challenges, happen inside the game, so that people have more dynamic experiences inside Destiny.

"Bungie is hard at work behind the scenes, updating Destiny to make it better," Dague tells Joystiq. "We've rolled out numerous patches, tuning updates, and server adjustments. For instance, the frequency of public events has more than doubled."

Fan requests and feedback are being monitored

At the same time, Dague has also highlighted that the studio is taking everything the community is saying to heart and that both requests and feedback are monitored so that they can be taken into account when making improvements to the multiplayer shooter.

He has also noted that, given the huge community already surrounding Destiny, it will take some time to answer all requests and demands, but the studio is more than ready for the task.

"We'll keep working to ensure our server performance remains stable for our already sizeable community, which has shattered previous records for any Bungie game to date. In an effort to keep our community up-to-date on these changes, patch notes will continue to appear on [the official website]."

"The team is committed to a steady stream of post launch support, including the addition of some much requested features."

Destiny already received its first major cooperative Strike encounter, the Vault of Glass, yesterday, and plenty of special events are planned in the following weeks, so that players have new things to do inside the online shooter with their friends as well as with strangers.
