The Titan and the Hunter are not the only possible choices

The launch of Destiny is a little more than one month away, but the development team at Bungie says that gamers should not base their choice of the initial class in the full version of the game on the content that they have seen in the beta.

Answering a question about the Warlock in the official weekly news delivery, the company explains that many gamers might be more impressed by the look or the abilities of the Titan or the Hunter, but they will have some pleasant surprises if they stick to their initial choice.

The company states, “The Warlock is anything but subdued. It’s easily the most eccentric class in Destiny, which is why Urk and I chose the order. We have swagger. We don’t need to wear a cape like the Hunter to get noticed. We have better ways to get attention than to pound the ground with our fists like the Titan.”

Bungie adds, “If you crave flashier items for your inventory, wait ’til you see what we have in store for you in the final game. Would you say the Bond was limited if your arm was bathed in light? I’d tell you more, but I’ve already said too much. You ain’t seen nothing yet.”

The studio has said that all the classes are viable choices in Destiny and that players will need to mix and match abilities in order to get past the most difficult battles.

The Raids are the elements of the shooter that are designed to test how well groups can work together, asking gamers to carefully choose how to approach zones filled with powerful enemies that can be cleared in exchange for solid rewards.

Those who are focused more on Player versus Player mechanics will be able to enter special arenas where they can battle friends and rivals in order to see how well equipped and developed their character is.

The beta for the Bungie title attracted more than 4.6 million gamers and resulted in a large data set for the company to explore in order to improve the experience.

Destiny will be offered on the PlayStation 4, the PS3, the Xbox One and the 360 on September 2, and rumors continue to persist that a PC version might be announced for a later date.

Those who will play the game on the Sony platforms will be able to get access to exclusive content that will be available only for them for about one year.
