The development team at Bungie announces that it is pleased with the current progress of the alpha test for its upcoming Destiny video game and it is ready to offer some details on the statistics that have been generated by the community so far.

The company says that more than 6.4 million player games have been launched since the title became widely available and that in them, 149,522,313 kills were delivered using primary weapons and another 21,782,610 were added by secondary ones.

Super abilities for the characters were also widely used and managed to generate 21,687,298 deaths among enemies and only 4 million were associated with heavy weapons.

2,819,211 Orbs of Light were gathered by the Destiny players and 6,850,773 control points were captured inside the Crucible.

667,966 public events were created and 60,491,944 Fallen Dregs were killed.

Bungie states in the official blog post that, "Putting alpha code out in the wild is always a risk; that build is ancient by our standards, riddled with content and bugs we’d never allow through to ship. In many cases, the really rough and jagged edges had been hammered smooth long ago, making it all the more difficult to see them discovered, but in just as many others, there’s still work to do."

The studio also thanks all those who took part in the first alpha for the shooter and ensures all those who were unable to secure a spot that more opportunities to try out the game before it is officially launched will be offered soon.

The developers add, "We’ve gathered a mountain of data and feedback. We’re learning and reacting and Destiny is going to be better because of it. You’ll see the fruits of that labor as early as next month, assuming we’re lucky enough to have you in our Public Beta."

Destiny will be offered as a full title on the Xbox One from Microsoft, the 360, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the PS3 on September 9 of this year all over the world.

The title will include some special exclusive content for Sony-made platforms, which will not be offered on any other devices for about one year, according to a report.

Bungie has said that its new first-person shooter uses a wide variety of elements taken from the role-playing and the massive multiplayer online genres.

Gamers will have to travel the galaxy in order to make sure that the final human city on Earth remains safe.
