The development team at Bungie might need to publicly deal with speculation from gamers about the future of Destiny and the kind of content that will be included in the upcoming The Dark Below expansion, but the studio continues to work in order to make the title bug-free as quickly as possible.

An official announcement on the site of the shooter claims that, since the most recent patch was launched, a reduction of 50 percent has been registered when it comes to Beaver and Bee errors, with dedicated teams continuing to work in order to make the game as smooth running as possible.

Bungie states, "We hear you.  We truly appreciate the work some of your have put into troubleshooting so you can enjoy Destiny. For those of you that still can’t play, or are getting frequently disconnected, we are working very hard to investigate why that might be happening."

The company also asks gamers to try and stay current on the information about the issues that might affect their attempts to run the game.

The developers add, "Again, that isn’t a guarantee that your particular situation has improved, but it is a promise that we are hard at work trying to make things better for players."

Looking towards the future

Destiny had a successful launch, although publisher Activision has not offered clear information on how many copies of the game were delivered to gamers, and Bungie needs to keep the experience running as smoothly as possible in order to keep all those who purchased it engaged.

There are weekly events taking place, each of them offering a chance to gain experience points and access new gear for characters, and a team of developers also enters the game for a limited time in order to engage in Player versus Player battles with the community.

The first expansion, called The Dark Below, is currently set to arrive on all platforms before the end of the year and will introduce a big new area to explore, more raids to tackle and other extra content.

A second one will be out in the spring of 2015 and is also covered by a Season Pass.

Until then, Bungie will continue to offer patches for the game, based on the feedback coming from players, and the next one is designed to change the way engrams are working and to better balance the various included weapons, with a focus on the high-level exotic ones.
