Bulls can cause serious injuries when they feel threatened

Mais Marradas 5 Estrelas is a show that illustrates how chasing and tormenting bulls can get you extremely hurt or worse.

Apparently, there are some people in this world who are yet to figure out that massive animals carrying impressive horns on their heads are not to be messed with. Not unless a long stay in the hospital sounds like the perfect vacation.

The show is filmed in the Azores, where locals put on their own version of “running with the bulls.” Instead of letting a herd of bulls stampede them, they let out one bull at a time and take it on.

This custom originated as a form of courtship, in which young bachelors would try to impress the women of the village with their bravery. Whether it actually worked or not remains a mystery.

Let's be honest here, watching guys being chased around by raging bulls doesn't really sound very appealing, let alone romantic.

Bystanders can watch the show from behind barriers, while locals display their skills. However, this informational video proves that no one is really safe in situations like this.

Once the bulls get out, there is no knowing what they'll do. Especially since they are first taunted or injured by the picadors. You can see their horns are cropped, but that doesn't seem to be stopping them from inflicting serious pain to rush-seekers.
