Reflexive Entertainment has announced the release of Build in Time on the Mac. The casual title has players constructing homes, swimming pools, jungle gyms and more, fulfilling their virtual customers' requests.

Build in Time for Mac hit the market less than a week after its release on PC, featuring 23 "blast from the past" customers and numerous environments spread over a total of 65 levels. Managing time is crucial in Build in Time and, although just a casual title, it is a fast-paced building game.

"I really wanted to make a game that I found exciting," said Build in Time Producer James C. Smith. "We created Build in Time as a way to bring together some of the best game elements from other games that we all enjoyed. With interesting things to construct and upgrade in the neighborhoods, like observatories and putting greens, the skills the players develop as the game progresses really makes them feel like 'I did it!' We did plenty of brainstorming before building a design that we felt was awesome, and we've been improving it ever since."

Also noted in the official report is that Build in Time features "decade-appropriate" music and customers, making it a great game for the whole family to enjoy. So I guess grandma will also want to start her own virtual business thanks to the featured score.

Main features of Build in Time:

- Travel through 6 decades of American history; - Earn stars and awesome Life Rewards; - Innovative Click Assist feature; - Help customers build their dream home; - Build a construction business from the ground up; - Unlock and earn new homes, garages and pools; - Serve hippies, movie starlets and more.

Reflexive Entertainment focuses on game design. The company is responsible for a number of award-winning games including the Ricochet and the Big Kahuna franchises, and Wik: Fable of Souls, the "2006 Downloadable Game of the Year." Reflexive is also the company behind one of the largest casual game distribution networks, with more than 500 affiliates distributing a huge catalog of over 1,000 titles.
