Buffalo has announced its latest optical disk drive unit, according to VR-Zone, one that will sell for $232 / 175 Euro starting near the end of March, 2012.

The product will only be available in Japan at first, but it shouldn't take long for other regions to get it.

The BRXL-14FBS-BK, as it is called, is a Blu-ray drive that can scribe on anything up to BDXL disks, the ones with 100 GB or 128 GB storage.

There aren't any unusual things about the design: this is a standard, 5.25-inch product for regular PCs.

Nevertheless, its bundle does include more than the bare minimum: various CyberLink programs (PowerBackup 2, PowerDVD 10, InstantBurn 5, PowerDirector 8 HE, Power2Go 7, PowerProducer 5 and MediaShow 5).

The DiXiM BD Burner 2011 program is included as well.
