Bruce Willis has recently welcomed into the world his second daughter, Evelyn, with wife Emma Heming and his fifth overall, if we also take into consideration his three previous daughters with ex-wife Demi Moore.

Far from being overcome by fatherhood at his “tender” 59 years of age, the actor wasn't shy about picking up where he left off and he got right into the hang of things, earning the praise of his wife who is now calling him a “hands-on dad.”

Emma spoke to Hello Magazine and gushed about how Bruce was taking her pregnancy very serious, “Luckily, Bruce decided to take some time off to help with Mabel during my pregnancy. He's a very hands-on dad - and secretly I think he'd like to be a stay-at-home dad.”

She added that “He's all hands on - and thankfully so. I really couldn't do it without him. That's why I have such respect for single parents. My mom was a single parent, she worked three jobs to support us. I look back and think, ‘How could she juggle it all and not lose her mind?’”

The new mother is taking Bruce for granted either, “I'm so grateful to have such a dedicated dad for our child ... He's a family man. He loves being a dad.”

For his part, Bruce claims to be “grateful” to be able to spend so much time with his new born and his second youngest, especially since he still regrets not being around much when his older daughters were growing up. Rumer, Scout and Tallulah, his girls from the marriage with Demi Moore, all had to grow up in a time when Bruce was very caught up with work.

Emma explains, “When he had his first three kids he was making movie after movie. Of course, he was around and they would see him while filming. We are lucky enough to have that option that he can be home more often.”

She now claims that both her and Bruce are very happy to spend a lot of time in their home with their children, something which has caused her mother to make fun of her, calling her “boring.”

But Emma doesn't think so. In her view, she thinks they are “both low key. We aren't at every party, nor do we want to be. We love being at home with Mabel. My mom calls us a right bore.”
