Bruce Jenner’s ever-changing appearance made room for a lot of speculation in the past couple of years as to whether he might be going through a transition from male to female. As of last week, these rumors really picked up speed, with several Kardashian-endorsed publications “confirming” that it was really happening.

Several media outlets known to receive tips and inside information straight from Kamp Kardashian said that, indeed, Bruce was transitioning and, indeed, he had decided to come out, go public with an announcement. He would also be documenting the transition on a new E! special, they said.

First interview, an exclusive with ABC News

BuzzFeed is now confirming it as well: apparently, not only is the former Olympian turned reality star transitioning from male to female but he’s also getting ready to discuss it in his first-ever interview on the topic, a special with ABC’s Diane Sawyer.

As per sources familiar with negotiations, Jenner and ABC honchos are now in the final stages of discussions, so an announcement should follow soon, together with an air date for the exclusive interview.

“Jenner’s coming out will be timed with the announcement of a docuseries that has been following Jenner and the extended Kardashian-Jenner family,” the report says. The docuseries will be aired on E!, as we already knew, this being the same network that launched the Kardashian clan to international fame.

Speaking of the Kardashian clan (which includes the Jenner girls, who are now stars in their own right), the one pulling all the strings is momager Kris Jenner, who decides what projects they all get involved in and takes a 10% fee for it.

Word online has it that Bruce is doing this without any help or contribution from his ex-wife, who, apparently, isn’t even “OK” with having her ex-husband of 23 years come out as a transwoman and with his own reality show.

Bruce is still mum on the topic

It’s been many months that Bruce has been plagued by this kind of reports, but they were never as serious in tone as those that emerged last week, which must mean that there’s truth to them.

Bruce, for one, isn’t saying anything, but he’s been photographed by the paparazzi looking slightly different than before: in addition to the long hair and French manicure, he’s also been sporting plumper lips, presumably from injectables, and fabulous blowouts.

His step-daughter, Kim, stopped by ET last week to promote her Super Bowl 2015 ad for T-Mobile, and smiled when asked about Bruce, saying he was on his own “journey” that he would be talking about whenever he was ready for it.

This was considered official Kardashian “confirmation” of Bruce’s transition.
