14 DAY TRIAL // In between doing several nights a week as part of her highly lucrative Las Vegas residency and being a mom to her 2 amazing boys with ex Kevin Federline, Britney Spears also finds the time to do charity work and work on new material.
Word got out in November last year that she and Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, who also happens to be one of the most polarizing figures in hip hop right now, would get together sometime soon to work on a song.
It happened, Britney confirms.
Collaboration is confirmed, will be “ah-mazing”
Britney Spears was at the Zappos.com Campus in Las Vegas the other day, taking part in an event that “brought the zoo to the kids” battling cancer, and Extra special corresponded Pauly D (from the infamous MTV show Jersey Shore) spoke to her about the wonderful changes in her life.
These included her new boyfriend, producer Charlie Ebersol, whom she’s been dating for about 4 months, and a new musical release.
Britney doesn’t say when the Iggy song will be out, but she can promise this: the fans will love it because it’s “ah-mazing.”
“I saw her song on TV,” she says of how the collaboration came to happen, “and I was like a kid in a candy store, I was like, I love Iggy, I love that video, I want to work with her, and it was really weird, because a week after that her manager was like, ‘She’s a huge fan of yours.' I was like, ‘Let’s do something together,’ so it worked out.”
You can tell that Britney is excited about the project (video below), so the fans will have to give her a pass for not offering even an estimated date for release.
Britney might walk down the aisle soon
Another newsworthy revelation in this Extra interview is the fact that Britney is in love with Charlie, even though their relationship is still relatively new.
Asked by Pauly D why she had “I [heart] Charlie” in rhinestones on her back in one of her more recent shows, the pop star starts to giggle and admits that it was a surprise for her man. Apparently, it convinced him that he had the best girlfriend in the world.
Britney started dating Charlie shortly after she ended things with David Lucado, whom she went public with in early 2013. People thought they would end up married, but rumor has it he’d been cheating on her - and was careless enough as to get caught on camera as he was propositioning a young lady.
The recording ended up in the hands of Britney’s father, who had him packed and out of the house before word of the cheating even got out in the press.
However, the heartbreak hasn’t put Britney off love for good: 2 months later, she went public with Charlie and now, 2 more months later, she’s saying she wouldn’t rule out completely going down the aisle with him.
“You never know,” she laughs.
