14 DAY TRIAL // Britney Spears fans, get ready: today, the pop star will be unveiling on Facebook her brand new single off the yet-to-be-released album “Britney Jean,” a ballad called “Perfume.”
Speaking with E! News, Britney, who co-wrote most of the songs included on the new album, reveals that “Perfume” is a song that’s very close to her heart because it’s inspired by experience.
“‘Perfume’ is incredibly special to me because it hits close to home, and I think the story is relatable to everyone. Everyone's been through an insecure moment in a relationship that's left them vulnerable and I think this song captures that,” she says.
So, as she promised a while back, she’s tackling her breakup from her ex-fiancé Jason Trawick on this new album, and this might be just the song in which this happens.
“Britney Jean” comes out in December, at the same time as the official start of Britney’s 2-year residency in Las Vegas.
