14 DAY TRIAL // After some turmoil and lots of rumors, the premiere of the second season of X Factor US is upon us. To promote it, Simon Cowell and Britney Spears sat down for an interview with Ellen DeGeneres.
As we also noted earlier today, on the same show, Britney finally got to learn the moves to the Gangnam Style dance, invented by Korean pop star Psy, who became an international superstar after his video went viral on YouTube.

Simon, who has never been shy of speaking out on his aversion for rival show from NBC, The Voice, maintains that what the bosses over at the network did was very “nasty” because it totally tries to ruin their own premiere.
Before that, Cowell said that The Voice was nothing but a shameless X Factor rip-off that only posed as an original concept, as we also reported at the time.
Since Britney’s involvement in the project is, without a doubt, the thing that will draw most fans, this too was a topic for discussion with Ellen.
The pop star, looking fabulous in a body-hugging red dress and smoky eyes makeup, reveals that she agreed to do the show after Simon’s third phone call.
“That’s right, I couldn’t resist,” she says laughing.
However, she still had a brief moment of nerves when the first round of auditions was about to start.
“I was really nervous,” Britney says, adding that it’s hard to tell people “no” and, this way, completely shatter their dreams. At the same time, it’s also completely necessary.
Perhaps the most revealing part of the interview came when Simon Cowell talked about a possible host: asked by Ellen to name at least 3 possible candidates for the job, he only offered one.
“Khloe [Kardashian] is definitely up there in the running,” Simon explains.
