Britney Spears has often been criticized in the media for reasons ranging from her ability to raise her two children to her music and the quality of it. However, one thing that will not be pinned on her if she has her say is that her latest tour, “Circus Starring Britney Spears,” is not suitable for children, as a post on her official blog clearly states.

After Circus opened in New Orleans a couple of days ago, word broke in the media that Kevin Federline banned his and Britney’s two boys from seeing their mother on stage, both on account of the outfits she would wear and the more “suggestive” dance moves. Now, a post on the Britney Spears official blog comes to contradict the rumor, saying that both children are always in the house when their mom is performing, which virtually makes Circus a child-friendly show.

“Contrary to rumors linked to false articles, Britney Spears’ sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, will be joining her on the entire Circus tour and will be attending shows as planned. Britney’s family is a huge inspiration and she loves having them on the road with her.” the post reads, as a response to rumors of whether the boys would be allowed to see the shows.

The same rumors also had it that, before the big opening in New Orleans, Britney performed a more “child-friendly” version of it for the two boys during rehearsals. Other than that, they did not see her perform since Federline banned them from attending the show, reports said. “Federline – who agreed to let Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, accompany their mom on tour – has deemed Spears’ show too risque for the boys to watch. So the star treated her brood to a child-friendly run-through of her 90-minute show at the New Orleans Arena.” ShowbizSpy claimed a few days ago, citing sources from the Daily Mirror.

The 90-minute, 22-song Circus show sees Britney back on stage, with countless dancers, acrobats and martial arts experts, in what has been described an “R-rated extravaganza.” The costumes, ranging from military-inspired to spandex skin-colored tights, as well as most of the dance moves, are suggestive enough for the show to be worthy of the label the media applied to it, it has been said.
