14 DAY TRIAL // Even before she infamously went into a barber shop and shaved her head as the paparazzi were snapping her picture like crazy, many stories have been told about Britney Spears and her ratty hair extensions. The other day, the pop star only added more fuel to the fire behind such stories, by being photographed with a large spot on her head that seemed to be balding, as ToyazWorld can confirm.
Pictures on the day in question are already burning a hole online, if such a thing is possible, with celebrity bloggers and glossies wondering out loud how a woman who made over $60 million last year and consequently landed on Forbes’ top earners list can’t afford better extensions. In all fairness, Britney has often been photographed with really bad hair, but, then again, it’s like her extensions were never this ratty.
Case in point: while pictures of her snapped from the front seemed to reveal nothing in particular, those from the back told an entirely different story. Dressed in an orange tank top, with matching shorts and brown military boots, Britney was smiling and seemed really happy. Her hair even seemed to look good from a distance – but not so when she turned her back to one side, as photogs could clearly see a large patch on her head that had no extensions, and almost no hair either. Perhaps realizing what had just happened, Britney quickly got her hair up and tied it in a simple ponytail.
“Britney Spears visited the Crate & Barrel store at the Sherman Oaks Galleria in Sherman Oaks, California yesterday afternoon (July 20th). However, to say that she had some hair issues is somewhat of an understatement,” the aforementioned music & celebrity blog notes in a post accompanying two shots of the pop star. “The singer may be one of the richest popstars in America but that didn’t stop her hair extensions taking a life of their own,” the same e-zine further says.
As we were also telling you a while back, supermodel Naomi Campbell is also suffering from her long love for extensions. Recently, she was out on a shoot and a sudden gush of wind lifted her hair off her temples, revealing a spot where she had no hair at all, was completely bald. This happens because of how extensions are glued to natural hair, and the damage they do to it when they’re taken out and replaced.
