Early reviews for Britney Spears’ most recent studio release, the album “Britney Jean,” have been mixed but, according to fresh reports, she has no idea that negative ones also exist because she’s being told her work is very well received by critics and fans alike.

In all fairness, the album is topping the iTunes charts so at least the latter part of that statement is accurate: her fans do love her new album and are accordingly showing their support for Britney by paying for it.

However, critics aren’t exactly rushing to sing its praises, which is why Britney’s camp is doing everything humanly possible to shield her from the negativity. In other words, Radar Online claims, they’re telling her the album is doing great because they can – because she has no way of verifying if they’re telling her the truth or not.

“Britney’s manager, Larry Rudolph, and father, Jamie, won’t allow her to see any of the bad reviews. Britney doesn’t even have access to the internet and lives in a bubble! Her team will allow her to believe that the album is being well received,” says a tipster.

Rudolph is also the man who helped Miley Cyrus become the biggest star of the year by reinventing her image and sound completely, so if there’s a man who knows how to play this game for maximum profit, that’s him.

Jamie Spears is Britney’s conservator, which means he’s in charge of everything in Britney’s life, from her career down to her personal life, being able to veto even the smallest trifle like the acquisition of, say, toothpaste.

Back on the topic of music, the insider hints that the pop star is being overprotected this way because she’s got a lot riding on the upcoming 2-year Las Vegas residency.

“No-one wants to upset Britney. If she were to read anything negative, it could send her into a bad tailspin and both Larry and Jamie know that can’t happen with her upcoming shows in Vegas about to launch,” the tipster shares.

Did you get a chance to listen to “Britney Jean” in full? If so, what do you think? Do her manager and father have any reason to worry, or should they not even bother as long as the fans like what they hear?
