Britney Spears has sat down for an interview with the January 2014 issue of InStyle magazine and, among other things, she also talks about her dreams of having a baby girl and how sorry she felt for Kim Kardashian when she was bashed in the media for gaining weight while pregnant with her first child.

The association might seem random but Kim has been making a great deal out of how people mocked her for dressing in clothes several sizes too small for her body while still carrying daughter North West.

She claimed that she was being bullied and, while it’s true that bloggers and regular Joes and Janes at home did make fun of her, it was because she refused to dress appropriately and sacrificed comfort (and perhaps her wellbeing as well) for style.

Whichever was the case, Britney says she felt sorry when she saw so many comments on Kim’s weight, especially since she knows she must have been feeling pretty emotional already.

“I see Kim and what she went through when she was pregnant – the tabloids were so mean to her because she was big. At one point in the show she was upset and said something like, ‘I would be lying if I said that the criticism from the paparazzi while I’ve been pregnant hasn’t taken a toll on me.’ And I was like, ‘Bless her heart,’ because I remember that time,” Britney tells the publication.

“First of all, you are already emotional, and then the paparazzi are taking pictures of you pregnant. That should be the time when your body is the most treasured. I loved being pregnant for so many reasons. But in this business you make a deal with the devil. I’ve learned you kind of have to go with it. What I do calls for me to look good. People expect that. I kind of take it as my job,” she says.

On the topic of having more children (Britney already has 2 boys with ex-husband Kevin Federline), she says she’d like to have a daughter as well, but the timing is not right now. Perhaps after she’s done with the Las Vegas show in 2 years’ time, she will add another member to her family.

“I think she would be like a mini-me. I think it’s going to be crazy. I’m not going to feel as alone in the world anymore. I’m going to feel like I have a second person, like, that’s me,” Britney says.

No one knows why Britney’s saying that she’d feel less alone if she had a daughter because, in her most recent interviews, she said she was very happy with her life and that she couldn’t think of any other way it would be better. She’s also been speaking highly of her current boyfriend, David Lucado, even saying they were absolutely in love.
