14 DAY TRIAL // After a disappointing album release which showed that interest for Britney Spears was at an all-time low, it was hoped that the pop singer's residency show in Las Vegas would at least liven up things a bit. But now it really looks like Baby can't get a hit one more time.
A video from Britney's first performance of her residency show “Piece of Me” has appeared online and it only leaves a lot of room for speculation. The recording was done on a mobile phone, and it fails to reveal without a doubt whether Britney was singing live or just lip syncing to pre-recorded audio.
The 3-minute video shows Britney get through a couple of her most known tracks, like “Gimme More” and “Break the Ice” while performing complicated routines with her backup dancers. However, she never misses a beat and never gasps for breath, which would only be natural under the circumstances.
