Just days after coming out to the entire world as gay by means of a heart-warming video on YouTube, British diver Tom Daley is already said to have started house hunting with his partner, Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance.

The Mirror reports that the couple was spotted near the Olympic village in Stratford, on the lookout for a new place where they most likely plan on moving in together. And it would seem they aren't cutting any corners either, as the apartment they have their eye on costs a solid £1,700 ($2,781 / €2,042)-a-month.

It has to be mentioned that Tom is still currently residing with his mother, while his 39-year-old partner lives in the United States. This move will afford the happy new couple more time together, a fact that is also backed by a source close to Tom.

Tom also spoke about the unusual way he and Dustin came to be an item, claiming that the attraction was instantaneous. It was this irresistible attraction that made him throw caution to the wind and leave Dustin a message with his number and a winking face in his note.

He claims he had no notion of whether Dustin was actually gay too or even what he did for a living. So imagine his surprise when the next day he got a call from Dustin.

The 19-year-old bronze medalist has had his recent announcement met with “mixed reviews,” even from his own family, with some members advising him against confessing to the world. But he felt it was something he had to do and he says a huge weight has been lifted off his shoulders since he's come out of the closet.

Although the British diver expected the worst after his video went online, he said that he was amazed to receive messages on Facebook and Twitter from young people who were inspired by his move to also come out to their parents during the same day.

“The reaction has been 100 times better than I thought it would be. I know some people can be a bit negative about it but overall it has just been amazing,” said a smiling Tom.
