Bridgestone has recently unveiled a new green tire concept during the Tokyo Motor Show. Their product comes along with several advantages. First of all, it is reliable enough to represent a suitable alternative to pneumatic tires.
Once commercialized on a large scale, it could turn the unpleasant highway blowouts into a thing of the past. The innovative line of tires displays a mesh of spokes made of thermoplastic resin, which can be properly recycled and used to come up with new items of this kind.
The eco-friendly technology applied by Bridgestone reduces the amount of waste generated by manufacturing processes.
According to its developers, who have performed a series of tests on one-seat vehicles, the tires measuring nine inches in diameter can support a weight of up to 150kg.
The concept inspired by the experimental tire design backed by the French company Michelin could definitely become a safe, green substitute for conventional products, helping us enjoy our trips without having to worry about flat tires.
