Though for many he’ll always remain the geeky guy from “Beverly Hills 90210” who put out a rap album and embarrassed himself, Brian Austin Green couldn’t be happier with the way things are today.

Speaking with the latest issue of Details magazine, the actor opens up about his personal life, including his beginnings in showbiz, how he handles fame and media attention, and, last but not least, his gorgeous wife.

Brian and Megan Fox were married in secret while in Hawaii this summer. Brian’s son Kassius was the only one present at the ceremony, as we also reported.

Speaking of Kassius and how Megan gets along with him, Brian says she’s his better half at parenting and that, despite her age and public image, she’s just perfect for the part.

“She is absolutely my better half in parenting. She just gets it. It’s instinctual for her. She loves my son, Kassius. And from the time we started dating – you know, she was 18 - she stepped in and took control,” Brian says.

“It’s unbelievable. At 18, I was like, ‘Hey, which club is open tonight? And how cool do my pants look? Can I sneak a drink across the bar without getting caught?’” the actor further says.

In fact, there are moments when he can’t even believe how lucky he got when he met Megan, especially since she came at a point in his life when he was feeling really low and wasn’t looking for a relationship.

“When we met, I had just separated from Kash’s mom and a relationship was the last thing on my mind. It’s not something I ever thought would be serious. But she brought out parts of me that I had lost in my last relationship,” says the star.

“I had come off of 90210, and I never wanted to leave my house. I was afraid of the press. I was afraid of people’s opinions of me,” he adds.

“Megan was a big part of boosting my confidence. And at the same time, I was somebody responsible and grounded for her to be around. We just matched,” Brian further explains.

In the same interview, he also reveals he’s not jealous that Megan is more famous than he is or that she’s getting more press, because that kind of media attention is just not something he’d ever aspire to.

He had a hard time dealing with attention when he was on the highly successful “90201” – and back then things were still easy – so he wouldn’t want to trade places with his wife, he says.

At the end of the day, Brian Austin Green has learned that things are bound to change so, for the time being, he’s happy he’s got a gorgeous wife whom he loves, an adorable son and the kind of life others can only dream of.
