14 DAY TRIAL // If you ever wondered how the first love scene in “Breaking Dawn” would turn out, wonder no more: the first photo of Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) as new husband and wife, on their wedding night, is online.
As fans must already know, one of the biggest challenges for director Bill Condon is the portrayal of the first time Edward and Bella make love, partly because he’s a vampire and she’s still a mortal, partly because of the film’s final rating.
At the same time, this – the lovemaking scene – is also one of the most anticipated by fans; after all, they’ve waited for 4 books and 3 films just to see this with their own eyes.
Twilight Lexicon, one of the biggest Twilight fansites, reports that the photo, which you can see attached to this article as well, will run in the print issue of Entertainment Weekly, the preview issue with Johnny Depp on the cover.
It will not appear on EW’s online version. In fact, the only reason it’s now online is because it was shown on Access Hollywood and fans had the chance to snap a screenshot of it.
The photo shows Edward and Bella apparently sans clothes (they’re only pictured from the shoulders up), lying on a bed. He’s over her, adoringly looking down on her, while she’s tracing his face with one finger.
The picture is more on the sweet side than “hot,” which indicates the love scene will be sweet as well. This, in turn, could mean that Condon will leave out the aggressiveness that eventually prompts Edward to rip the pillows.
Speaking of pillows, fans have already noticed that they seem intact in these pictures. What this means is that the still is from before the lovemaking, and not after.
As we also noted on a previous occasions, the first time the newlyweds make love, several pillows meet their tragic end when Edward bites into them to refrain from sucking Bella’s blood.
In other excellent “Breaking Dawn” news, OK! Magazine has a shot of what could be Bella and Edward in front of a bathroom sink, in their unmentionables, brushing their teeth.
Word has it this could be the first pic of the two as husband and wife – but fans are already debating whether the photo is legit. See here for it.
