This is the sort of head-scratching news that needs to be mulled over in order to understand its full impact. There is a rumor going around Hollywood that the aging Harrison Ford is facing slimmer and slimmer chances to reprise his role as Indiana Jones.

As you may or may not know, the 1930s-inspired franchise has 3 more movies lined up before it retires the bull whip and the Fedora, and Harrison isn't in the top of his form anymore.

Latino-Review claims to have it on good authority that Disney Studios has a backup plan already in place and the name for that plan is Bradley Cooper. The way this switch is going to work is similar to the James Bond franchise, where the main character has been played by a host of actors through the decades.

So the new Indiana Jones movie is not going to be a reboot, but it will be part of a whole new trilogy, probably one that is going to take things back into time, when Indy was younger and better looking.

It has to be mentioned that, at the moment, Cooper hasn't signed any deal or been approached by studio execs. He's just a photo in a file and a name in case they need a backup.

Would anyone care to share their thoughts on the matter?
