14 DAY TRIAL // George Clooney and Brad Pitt were always considered one of Hollywood’s first and most famous bromances, a term coined especially to describe the friendship between two straight men. They’re no longer friends, it has emerged.
Trouble began with Clooney’s refusal to grow up and, as they say, act his age. Brad met and (allegedly) became involved with Angelina Jolie in 2004, and they became a family almost instantly, so naturally, his approach to life changed with that.
George Clooney is “immature”
Brad and Angelina didn’t go public until after his divorce from Jennifer Aniston, but when they did, they went all the way. In time, he would adopt Angelina’s 3 children and they would have 3 more. They married only last year, but by the time they did, they were already a close-knit family.
Brad’s life changed with Angelina, down to his hobbies and daily activities, as himself put it in one of his older interviews. Today, instead of smoking pot with his buddies and then just hanging around the house doing nothing in particular, he’s busy taking care of the 6 children, especially if it’s Angelina’s turn to be away from home shooting a movie.
He’s also gotten more involved in charity and started considering every project he does from a different perspective, that of “is this a movie I’d want my children to see me in when they’re older?”
George, on the other hand, has barely changed from the way he was a couple of decades ago. To him, a report in OK! Magazine says, life is still a never-ending series of parties, even though he too finally married last year.
George’s behavior is “embarrassing and childish”
You’d think that being around children so much would have given Brad a thicker skin when it comes to childish behavior in general, but this doesn’t apply to his once-best friend George. He hates it that George is still pulling pranks like he’s 23 (he’s not, he’s 53), and he wants to spend as little time as possible around him.
“At times, Brad actually finds George’s behavior embarrassing and childish. That’s something he never thought he’d think,” the insider reveals.
However, the last straw came when Brad heard George and a bunch of his friends, including Brad’s ex Aniston, flew to Cabo San Lucas for a tequila-fueled party that made all headlines. Apparently, Brad found it ridiculous that George was putting on this immature act, as if he was still “Mr. Fun.”
