Brad Pitt is not generally the star one would expect to see or hear gushing about their personal life, but it seems that the German magazine Bild caught him in a very good mood last time they sat down for an interview. Initially meant to be for promotional purposes for Pitt’s latest movie, “Inglourious Basterds,” the discussion slowly swerved away to other topics of general interest for the greater public, such as what it was like to be Brad Pitt on an everyday basis, his relationship with Angelina and the six children they had together.

For starters, Brad Pitt is a man of short and straight-to-the-point answers, the Bild interview reveals. He doesn’t like to beat around the bush or answer a simple question in such a complicated way that no one can understand, but the brevity of his answers is also determined by his living a busy life, he explains. As a father of six, he has “to be quick and focused,” Brad says, and this also affects his professional life. Either way, it doesn’t matter, since he – just like Angelina and the kids – are all “sleep deprived.”

“I get going early, make breakfast, get the kids dressed, brush their teeth and take them to school. Angelina is working at the moment. We take turns. […] We have a 3 meter wide bed, but even that isn’t big enough. They all come crawling in in the morning. It’s just about surviving! We all have sleep deprivation.” Pitt says of how a regular day in the Pitt-Jolie household looks.

At the same time, the star reveals that, other than being a true blessing, having so many children has also forced him to grow up and become more responsible. He is no longer “a big kid,” even if he still has problems remembering just how many motorcycles he owns or which his favorite one is. Similarly, being a father and in a loving relationship has also helped Pitt deal with an issue many men (and most women) dread, growing old, saying he thinks the grey hairs in his beard “look good,” as also do his wrinkles.

A self-confessed agnostic, Pitt also professes his love for Angelina and the kids, saying his most prized possession is “My family – and yes a couple of my motorbikes.” However, he’s rather coy about admitting to having found true happiness, stating only that he is, at the moment, on the path he wants to be.
