Fans of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” have been asking (praying) for this ever since the action-packed film brought the two together for the first time on the silver screen. Brad Pitt has told reporters in Cannes that he doesn’t rule out the possibility of making another movie with Angelina Jolie.

Rumors of a “Mr. and Mrs. Smith Part 2” make the rounds at regular intervals but nothing ever comes out of them – and it probably never will.

As such, chances of a sequel are low to non-existent, but fans shouldn’t lose all hope that the two will share the same screen again, PopEater informs.

The only obstacle (if one may call it that) now standing in the way of a business collaboration is the 6 children the couple has: someone has to be at the house at all times.

It’s a known fact that Angie and Brad have an understanding never to take up work offers when the other is away on location; that is to say, they constantly make sure one of them is always with the kids.

“We're not ones to repeat ourselves, but we'd like to, because right now, we're hopscotching with films so one can be with the kids and one’s free to work,” Brad also says when asked about the possibility to work with Angelina again.

“And why aren’t we doing them together? Why aren’t we doing everything together?” he adds.

In the same interview, the actor also talks a bit about his and Angelina’s 6 children (3 natural and 3 adopted), saying he grew up dreaming of a large family, though he personally didn’t have one as a kid.

His favorite thing about being a dad of six? The chaos, he says.

“I had a friend who had a big family when I was a kid. I just loved the chaos around the breakfast table and the fighting and the ribbing, and the mom making pancakes for everyone or the dad making pancakes,” he says.

“And I just decided then if I was ever going to do it – this left some indelible mark on me – if I was ever going to do it, that’s the way I was going to do it,” Brad adds.

Brad Pitt is now in Cannes to promote “The Tree of Life,” while Angelina is pushing “Kung Fu Panda 2.”
