Even though there is definitely no shortage of quality 5.1 surround systems to choose from these days, Bowers & Wilkins has recently unveiled two other such offerings in the form of the MT-50 and MT-60D.
Both of these solutions feature five of the company’s M1 satellites, as well as a powerful subwoofer, which in the MT-50 is capable of retaining 200W output levels, while for the MT-60D this value is raised to 400W.
Furthermore, the powerful PV1D subwoofer in the MT-60D also sports an OLED screen which, according to Tech Digest, can be used to control both sound level and volume.
Each of the new M1 satellites use a new tweeter and bass/mid-range driver, which allows the speakers to work in stereo pairing, as well as with 5.1 surround sound set up.
All these features and the high output power come at a cost, as the MT-50 retails for no less than £1,100 ($1,736 USD), while the MT-60D is a whopping £1,950 ($3,079 US).
