It seems Sony will undoubtedly deliver both versions of its so expected PlayStation 3 - the 20GB and 60GB storage capacities - on the UK gaming market segment, as the models appear on the manufacturer's official web site, according to Reghardware web site. The estimated retail prices, in British currency, were not revealed up until now.

"Apart from the different hard drive capacities, the higher-end PS3 also ships with an HDMI port, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and a four-in-one memory card reader. The 20GB lacks these features. Sony last week confirmed the HDMI port will meet the recently posted HD interface's 1.3 specification, including its support for "deep colour" - colour depths beyond the current eight bits per channel (24-bit) depth," writes Reghardware.

It is written on Sony's web site that the two models will also support features such as Sony's Super Audio CD format, Dolby TrueHD - an optional Blu-ray Disc codec, and DTS sound. Moreover, both versions will come in black, and the higher capacity model will come out in silvery showcase as the flagship of the series.

Rumors regarding the 20GB model emerged two months ago, when Sony Entertainment UK boss, Ray Maguire, has declared that the low-end version might not be commercialized on the British gaming market. However, no official statement has been made regarding the latest content on the manufacture's web site, "and there's some indication that the 60GB model will ship alone when the next-generation console debuts here on 17 November, " Reghardware added.

In conclusion, regarding PlayStation 3 pricing, no costs were given in British currency, as the site merely listed the costs in Euro - ?499 for the 20GB model and ?599 for the 60GB version.
