Residents of Boston unite for a heartfelt, joint rendition of the national anthem during the first big sporting event since Monday's Marathon bombings, the Bruins-Sabres game.

“To all of those affected by Monday's tragic events at the Boston Marathon, we pause to reflect on those injured, honor the first responders who bravely came to the aid of their fellow citizens and we remember and prey for the families of those that lost their lives,” the announcer says, opening the ceremony.

As Rene Rancourt takes the stage, he is joined by crowds at the game expressing their support for those affected by the explosions.

According to NESN, the proceedings have been accompanied by a slideshow depicting heart-melting footage captured at the scene.

Amid fake reports on arrest being made in the case, information about one suspect has come to light.

Two clips taken at the scene reveal the image of a man tucking a duffel bag in the area indicated by forensics teams as the spot where a bomb was placed.
