The New York Daily News has made headlines yesterday by publishing a photoshopped image of the carnage left behind by the Boston Marathon explosions.

According to iSports News, Times Magazine is also launching a controversial cover for its tablet-only publication today.

The Times cover photo, featured above on the left shows a crying, distressed, confused child being carried away by a police officer.

The little boy, looking as young as three, has blood in his hair and we can assume that he is one of the survivors of the deadly Boston blasts.

On the right, editors at the Daily Mail try to shelter their readers from the gore of a post-marathon shot by concealing a section of their photo.

The woman seen on the ground in the photo, lying in a pool of blood, has in fact suffered injuries to her ankle, but the publication has tucked away all of that.

While they are accused of misleading their readers, I believe that the Times shot is much worse, as the child should be protected from the publicity, having gone through a traumatizing experience.
