The Federal Communications Commission is feeling a bit strained, but we'll get into that elsewhere. Here we'll talk about a certain something whose existence was exposed prematurely by the FCC.

Long story short, it is a wireless speaker developed by Bose and named SoundLink Air.

The label mentions Wi-Fi in big, bold letters and vaguely implies that DLNA or AirPlay, or both, will be supported.

For those who need their memory refreshed, DLNA is a standard that prevent protected content form being played over non-authorized connections.

Meanwhile, AirPlay lets uncompressed audio streams play right off the iTunes library that any iPod, iPhone and iPad has.

No price, or availability date, has been uncovered for Bose's SoundLink Air, but it shouldn't be too long before it is.
